Spinning 'LC7' model chair with glossy trivalent chrome-plated steel structure (CR3) 4-leg version Backrest and seat cushion padded in polyurethane foam without CFCs and polyester padding Black leather upholstery Designed by Charlotte Perriand in 1927 for her apartment in Place Saint-Sulpice in Paris, this chair was first displayed at the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs in 1928, in the Salle à Manger 28, and then at the Salon d'Automne in 1929, within the collection co-branded by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlette Perriand. Original CASSINA model (made from 1978), numbered, series LC7, serial number 009204 (see branding shown in photos) The chair is from a private collection. It was purchased at the Cassina Store in Milan in the late 1980s and is in excellent, practically like-new condition, as shown in the photographs, with no sign of wear. The chair has in fact never been sat on, but has only been used as decoration. The photos show the object in full detail, and are an integral part of the description. Must-have item for fans of design and for people who want to dress up their homes by adding an exclusive piece of designer furniture.
