Israel - Israel Weapon Industries (I.W.I.) - UZI - Assault - Ametralladora - 9mm Cal

Beautiful UZI in good condition, intended only for decorative purposes and completely deactivated according to new legislation. The uzi is named after the designer, the Israeli army officer Uziel Gal (1923-2002). The prototype was completed in 1950. Four years later, the uzi was officially introduced to Israeli forces. During the Suez Crisis in 1956, the weapon was used for the first time in a war situation. The uzi proved to be a success and more than met the requirements. In the following years, the weapon was further improved by a number of modifications. Until the end of 2001, IMI sold more than $2 billion worth of uzi's to more than 90 countries. [source?] From the end of 2003, the uzi was phased out in the Israeli army. The uzi was licensed by the Belgian arms factory FN Herstal between 1960 and 1983. The final version (1960) is still produced in Israel.
