Stunning and iconic mid-century Asteroid vase created by Jan Sylwester Drost in beginning of the seventies. The futuristic shaped vase with a stingray skin-like pattern has two large wing shaped handles. The vase is finished with a large flat under-rim and a recessed pressed base. The design was awarded with a gold medal at the International Triennale of Glass & Porcelain in Jablonec in 1976. From then on the vase became a real flagship product and icon. It is part of the collection of The Corning Museum Of Glass in New York, USA.
