A wonderful, large(!) French Louis XVI mantel clock. With gorgeous complete gold-plating and a marble finish. The mantel clock has a beautiful large dial, which is completely undamaged. The clock was beautifully made in great detail using gold-plated bronze. Mechanical 8-day movement with a half-hourly striking mechanism using a bell. The mantel clock has a beautiful, heavy sun pendulum (which is original). The clock is marked 'P Bonnet & R. Pottier Paris (1860)' on the movement. The movement was professionally serviced by a clockmaker. It runs and strikes correctly and on time. Height: 40 cm. Depth: 12 cm Width: 22 cm This lot is quickly insured and sent with track and trace and packed with great care.
