Reloj de mesa Westminster - Junghans - Latón, Madera - Finales del siglo XIX

Exceptional and old Junghans westminster table clock. One of the first series ever made as i describe below. Junghans started an a/b dating scheme in 1902 which is not found in this clock. The trademark on the movement - "Unghans over a "J" inside an eight pointed star" - was registered in 1890, according to databases. So it is reasonable to assume this clock was made between 1890 and 1901. The Wood door secures tightly and the glass is clean and free of scratches. The glass is Beveled which is sought after in the top end German Clocks. There are 2 subdials on the front of the dial. The upper left subdial has a chime/silence feature for the Westminster Chimes and the upper right subdial is for time adjustment. The back door has a latch that closes securely and the tones of the Westminster Chime are deep and rich and continue to resonate far after the hammers have struck the chiming rods . This clock comes with the ORIGINAL PENDULUM AND KEY . The surface of the Walnut is clean and free of reticulation and one can see the deep rich grain of the wood from the pictures. This Antique Junghan's German Clock plays a progressive Westminster Chime of the 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and full hour and then rings the number of the hour after the full Westminster Chime has been played. i.e., 12 rings for 12 O'Clock, 4 rings for 4 O'Clock. This lot will be well-packaged and shipped with track and trace. Or it can be picked up in Alicante , Spain , after consultation.
