Superb large thick box in porcelain of Limoges in the taste of Sèvres circa 1880-1900. Decor of a gallant scene on the lid of naked young women playing music. Signed with gold "Golse". André Golse(and son), ceramic decorator who apparently worked in the 19th century for Limoges after having filed a patent in 1884 for enamels in relief that would become his trademark. This box is in perfect condition, inside painted with floral throws inside the body and inside the lid. The whole with strong highlights of matt gilding on all the Louis XVI-inspired object. Stamp on the underside "Porcelaine d'Art, A.Golse" with crown and the "L" intertwined with an S for the manufacture of Sèvres. Height 10.5 cm, 18 cm in diameter. Total weight: over 1.2 kg
