A large rare Richard Corben Portfolio containing 8 plates of work pertaining to 'Pilgor The Plunderer'. Published by Toutain Editor. The artwork was copyrighted in 1979 but the portfolio was released in 1981. Each plate measures 465 x 376 mm Some fantastic images proving why Corben was the winner of the 2009 Spectrum Grand Master Award and the 2018 Grand Prix at Angoulême. In 2012 he was also elected to the Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame. Corben is an American illustrator and comic book artist best known for his comics featured in Heavy Metal magazine, alongside the likes of Philippe Druillet, Moebius, Vaughn Bode, Caza, Enki Bilal and Juan Gimenez. The plates are in very fine condition but the outer presentation sleeve is slightly marked and has one corner peeling slightly. Please inspect the photos for more information.
