Wonderful original antique Tiffany lamp. The lamp is in a unique and perfect condition. Without damage. The lamp is 38 cm high and has a diameter of approx. 16 cm. The glass has beautiful soft warm shades and has a heavy copper foot, trimmed with a decorative brass cap. Traditionally made. Authentic appearance. These lamps are created with many pieces of coloured glass carefully set in a lead framework. In the early 20th century, the Tiffany Studios in New York produced lampshades of a great diversity, and to this day these lamps are still made by hand. Louis Comfort Tiffany commenced commercial production of these lamps in the 1890s. His earliest lamps were oil lamps with lampshades of mouth-blown, leaded glass in combination with bronze lamp-stands. Tiffany lamps have been immensely popular since their introduction in 1894, and can now be considered amongst the true classics.
