Italian Republic beautiful and rare coin (R3) of 500 lire from 1957 Caravels with Flags Against the Wind 'Proof' (Print Test) in silver weighing 11.08 g.
The coin is appraised 'XF-' by UMBERTO MORUZZI with corresponding certificate of authenticity
The flags of the main masts of the caravels are oriented against the wind, therefore in the opposite direction to those of the normal specimens. These coins were given in homage to the parliamentarians.

Obverse: Renaissance female bust facing left; 19 coats of arms around; under the bust, in cartouche, GIAMPAOLI.
Reverse: Italian Republic; three caravels sailing to the right; below L.500 // R; on the left PROVA.
