This "Sword of Charlemagne" is a perfect copy of his original sword at the Louvre, according to the International Military Archive. Franklin Mint was granted permission to recreate it in a limited edition in the late 20th century.
The sword itself was forged in Toledo, Spain. This is traditionally the place where high-quality swords are made. Length 97 cm and a 21 cm wide handle.
The blade is beautifully forged and inlaid with 24 carat gold embellishments. The handle is completely 24 carat gold-plated and lavishly designed with various images of lilies, fantasy animals and winged lions. Take a look at the pictures and let them convince you of the beauty and power of this sword.
It comes on a robust oak wall display with a copper nameplate. This "Sword of Charlemagne" comes into its own very beautifully on any wall.
