Gastone Rinaldi - Rima - Sillón
Gastone Rinaldi was born in Padova in 1920. He initially worked for the Rima company founded by his father in 1916.
In his work as a designer he had the right to get in touch with many of the major Italian designers, including Giò Ponti.
In 1954 he won the Compasso d'Oro Award with the DU30 Chair produced by Rima.
His Saturn sofa is part of the prestigious collection of the MoMA Museum of Modern Art in New York.
This one I propose at auction is his creation: a curved wooden armchair, black painted steel and real horse skin.
Very rare to find, especially in these admirable conditions.
