Beautiful old painting with beautiful old frame. The painter is a Haman or Hamam. The dimensions are 63x53x5 cm. Painting is in good condition. In the lower left corner a piece of plaster missing at the front of the painting but is hardly visible (see photo) Dorus Rijkers, either fully Theodore Austrians (January 28, 1847 - April 19, 1928) is one of the most famous rescuers of shipwrecked Dutch history. His greatest fame as a savior he acquired in 1887 with some harsh trips as a sailor on a self-aligning rowing boat of the NZHRM-rescue station Nieuwediep (Daman) to the German barque Renown. He has also become known as "the People Savior from Den Helder)", symbol in recruitment for Dutch rescuers and rescue companies.
