OMEGA - Caja de plata de ley - .925 plata, madera - Suiza - Alrededor de la década de 1960

This textured, Sterling Silver box (or “Casket” as referred to by Omega), accompanied by one of the most prestigious offerings of the late 1950s - the Omega Constellation. Originally introduced in 1952 following the highly successful "Centenary" model, the Omega Constellation was designed as a luxury dress watch, manufactured to achieve Chronometer status by the Control Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (or COSC). The Casket was described as “entièrement guilloché”, in the brand's marketing materials of the time, full texture guilloche decorated to the case´s lid contrasted by polished edges and an embossed Ω symbol to the front. The cedar wood lining indicates that the box was intended to be used as a cigarette case thereafter. Stamped to the underside with assay marks for .925 silver and maker´s mark of Jezler, Switzerland. Established in 1822, Jezler was and remains Switzerland´s leading silversmith and until today the company works with such renowned brands as Patek Philippe and Rolex, among others. Condition: Overall very good, no damages or repairs observed. Original wooden liner in good condition. See photographs for a more complete impression. Minimal wear. This lot will be carefully packaged and sent by registered and insured mail. Due to absence this parcel will be shipped in the first week of April.
