Beautiful 18th century comtoise with 25 cartouches and casting of rooster looking back. Clock strikes every half and whole hour on bell, with 2-minute repetition every full hour. Case has beautiful smooth doors and back plate and nicely slender hand-sawn dials. Clock has been fully restored and cleaned, and has been fitted with new red ropes, old weights and wire pendulum with weight. Clock runs and strikes properly! Clock comes with chair and key. The 4 and 5 cartouches have light damage around the winding hole, but this damage has been fixed and isn't noticeable. Measurements clock case, Height: 24.5 cm. Width: 23 cm Depth: 15 cm.
