The drivers at the start of the 2016 season were Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz. However, after a few races, Max Verstappen was promoted to the Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team and Daniil Kvyat replaced Verstappen at Scuderia Toro Rosso.
