Minimum-Maximum is Kraftwerk's first official live album. It was released in June 2005, 35 years after the band's first concert. After the release of their eleventh studio album Tour de France in 2003, the quartet embarked on a world tour in 2004.
Excerpts from concerts in Warsaw, Ljubljana, Riga, Moscow, Paris, Berlin, London, Budapest, San Francisco, Tokyo and Tallinn can be heard on the album.

The DVD set captures the full live performance from their 2004-2005 World Tour, and the CD set is recorded live throughout Europe, Japan & the US.
Presented in a lavish 12" x 8" sealed box designed to look like a 'laptop' computer.
Inside the box is 'green holographic type image' of the four members, made to look like a 'laptop screen'.
The CD and DVD Digipaks are placed inside the box with an 88 page hardback book placed on top of them.
The book, which has a qwerty keyboard and trackpad printed on the front cover, contains full page images from the concert and miscellaneous graphics depicting the Kraftwerk concept images used on various releases over the years.

Also a red sheet of paper has been inserted under the wrapper that has an image of the group, with "KRAFTWERK MINIMUM-MAXIMUM" printed on it.
