A beautiful antique Edwardian gold brooch in a dainty stylised bow design typical of the era. It is made of rose and yellow gold and set with an amethyst to the centre with eight seed pearls on the sides of the bow. Fully hallmarked with Birmingham assay office marks, 9 and 375 for 9ct gold and date letter q for year 1915-1916. Maker's mark W&F.R for W & F Rabone (Walter Hayes Rabone & Frank Rabone) of Birmingham. Length 5cm. Weight 2.33g.
