Magnificent Special Edition chess from Tarragona that represents THE ROMAN EMPIRE by DIARI, who were beheaded.
This chess is made up of a magnificent structure measuring 46.5 x 46.5 x 6 cm made of different materials) with a large pyramid-shaped base, which has beautiful engravings related to Roman war themes on its four side parts. The upper part of this structure is made of a wooden board, which can be removed and replaced as many times as desired. In its interior, we find a black velvet or similar structure where the pieces are stored for better protection. In addition, it has a complete lot of 32 magnificent heavy metal pieces made of bronze and lots of detail, with measurements ranging between 7 and 8 cm.
At the bottom of the structure that stores the pieces. We also find 4 small/tiny legs or pivots below each corner that slightly enhance this chess.
This lot is in very good condition although it has slight wear in different parts of it (see photos). Therefore, we are talking about an old, historical chess that can be used for collection as well as decoration.
