The pickguard is tortoiseshell. The shell is made of rosewood slats threaded with light wood. The neck is veneered in rosewood and the ebony fingerboard features seventeen elaborate frets. The action is in two highly decorated pieces completely immersed in the right side of the headstock, bone button. The mandolin need to be restored, there are some cracks in the beck and the neck need a reset as the action is too high
