Moneda tribal chamba - chamba - Camerún
A chamba iron symetric currency with four spiral shaped ends with pointed finials. The middle section is covered with twisted iron band. Northern Cameroon.
The african iron currencies appeared relatively late in African art because blacksmiths acquired control of iron only after exchanges with Westerners. However, there is a very wide diversity depending on the region. They were used for barter or wedding dowries.
