máscara de goli - Baule - Costa de Marfil (Sin Precio de Reserva)
Goli mask, Baoulé tribe (Ivory Coast).
The goli mask originates from the Wan people. The latter who, first residing in Bouaké, had the “goli” dance, one of their oldest dances which has the Goli2 mask as its symbol. According to the Wan, the goli imitates the dragon when it dances. His sudden and repeated gestures during the dance are those of a spirit which temporarily inhabits the person who wears it.
I bought it myself in a tribal village during a trip to Africa.
I will send it packaged with the greatest care: plastic bubbles around it and in a cardboard box. I will send with tracking number.
I'm selling it because I want to refocus my collection on another theme.
