Katana - Tamahagane - Magoroku Kanemoto (孫六兼元) - Japón - Periodo Muromachi (1333-1573)

【Summary】 ・Very well crafted Japanese sword(Katana) made by Magoroku Kanemoto(孫六兼元). ・The sword is authenticated by NBTHK(Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai) as "Hozon Token(Special Valuable Sword)". The certificate paper is included in the set. ・Koshirae's workmanship is also good. 【About Magoroku Kanemoto(孫六兼元)】 ・Magoroku Kanemoto is a swordsmith who, along with Kanesada, is considered one of the “two major brands of Seki smiths”. ・Magoroku Kanemoto is a swordsmith ranked Saijyosaku(最上作) in Suekoto(末古刀). ・Kanemoto 2nd generation developed an original swordsmithing method and succeeded in making Japanese swords that did not break, bend, or lose their sharpness. ・The sharpness of the blade is so great that it was highly acclaimed by Yamada Asaemon(山田浅右衛門), who was in charge of testing swords for the Tokugawa shogun family(徳川将軍家) during the Edo period, and was classified as a Saijyo Owazamono(最上大業物). ・Magoroku Kanemoto’s swords were loved and used by warlords from the Sengoku period and became widely famous and popular in the Edo period under the name of Seki no Magoroku. 【Blade/condition】 ・The characteristics of "Magoroku no Sanbonsugi"(孫六の三本杉) are well expressed, and it can be said that it is a work typical of Magoroku Kanemoto. ・Including minor damages, there are five sword damages on the Mune(棟) probably due to a real combat, proving that it was a strong sword that did not break or bend while being used as a practical sword at the time. ・Usually, unmarked swords are rarely highly valued as "Magoroku Kanemoto". Although this sword is unmarked, it has been authenticated as "Magoroku Kanemoto" by NBTHK experts because the characteristics that can only be found in Magoroku Kanemoto are clearly visible. ・This sword is Koto Saijyosaku(古刀最上作) and Saijyo Owazamono(最上大業物), and we recommend it with confidence. 【Koshirae】 ・Uchigatana Koshirae(打ち刀拵え) ・Koshirae was created in the late Edo period. It has a sophisticated finish based on black color. 【Attention before bid】 ・This is a truly domestic Japanese sword that has never left Japan. When exporting, an export permit must be obtained. It takes about 20 business days from the time the buyer makes payment to the time the transportation process begins. This is because exporting Japanese swords requires permission from the Agency for Cultural Affairs. ・Export of Japanese swords from Japan to other countries is restricted. Depending on the situation of the shipping company and your country of residence, it may not be possible to ship. We will of course do our best to send the item, but if no carrier is available, we have no choice but to cancel the transaction. (So far we have been able to transport them without any problems in most cases.) ・Regardless of the carrier's situation, China and Russia are banned from importing Japanese swords.
