A very old and big porcelain Kutani-yaki* fruit plate with exquisite handpaited Lucky Gods Daikoku* and Ebisu* patterns on it. and with original wooden box. *Kutani-yaki is a type of ceramic that is made around Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture. It is a traditional craft of ceramics with colored illustrations and was created in the early Edo period. Kutani ware is characterized by its bright colors, bold and elegant patterns, and a technique called ``over-glaze''. Overglaze is a technique in which pigments are painted on top of the glaze and then fired again. The overglaze used for overglazing can be baked at around 800 degrees, so there are fewer restrictions on pigments and you can enjoy a wide variety of colors. *Daikoku-sama is said to have the following benefits: Fuki Eitatsu Fortune/money luck Good luck in career Prosperous business bountiful harvest *Ebisu is the only Japanese god among the Seven Lucky Gods.
