Antigua Grecia Terracota Escultura Koré. Siglo IV a.C. 31 cm H. Licencia de Exportación Española.

Kore Sculpture. Ancient Greece, 4th century BC Terracotta 31 cm H. Condition: Good condition. It has two important flaws, one on the back, as well as on the bottom of the sculpture. Restoration on the right arm, as well as the left hand. Provenance: Private collection, Mónaco, 1970 - 1980. Description: The kore presented here, made in terracotta, is slightly different from the rigid frontality of the most archaic korai. The sculptor, in addition, has taken the time to work with naturalistic intention the draperies. The kore are representations of young women in full body, standing and in frontal position, whose masculine version is found in the kurós. As in all archaic Greek statuary, the korai were originally deeply influenced by Egyptian sculpture, especially in their hieratic and essentialized forms. However, unlike the kuroi, the korai are not represented inactive, as purely timeless images, but are richly dressed, in attire worthy of ladies, and are shown in slight movement; they hold a flower, a fruit or a small animal in their hand, or gracefully gather the folds of their dress. Notes: - The piece includes authenticity certificate. - The piece includes Spanish Export License (Passport for European Union) - If the piece is destined outside the European Union a substitution of the export permit should be requested, can take between 1-2 weeks maximum. - The seller guarantees that he acquired this piece according to all national and international laws related to the ownership of cultural property.
