Walasse Ting (Chinese: 丁雄泉, October 13, 1929 – May 17, 2010) was a Chinese-American visual artist and poet known for his vibrant and colorful paintings blending Eastern and Western styles. He has received critical acclaim and a popular following. Ting's artwork often focused on subjects such as nude women, cats, birds, and other animals. Born in Shanghai in 1929, Ting left China in 1946 and later considered himself to be self-taught as an artist.
