Biography Ishii Kinryo (1842-1926) Japanese painter of the Meiji and Taisho periods. Born in Tempo 13. His first name was Shun. His stage name was Kunmei. Studied under Kinga Furuichi and Shuki Okamoto. After traveling around Japan, he returned to his hometown Okayama and taught his students. In 1903, he moved to Osaka and established the Toukoku Villa, and was considered the elder of the Osaka literati painting circles. He died in 1926 at the age of 85.

Japanese painter of the Meiji and Taisho periods.
