Tanekiyo's journey from a young monk in Asakusa's Nichirinji Temple to a celebrated storyteller under the tutelage of Kawatake Mokuami and then adopting the vibrant world of Shunga under the pseudonym Insuitei is as intriguing as the tales he penned.
