Henri Matisse (1869 – 1954) original Masques poster, 1950. Extremely rare! Mr. Henri Matisse created this poster for the Federation Francaise des Cine – Clubs in 1950. It is so rare, that it was included in the records of Archives Matisse only in February 2023. This poster had been added to its “master” copy of the catalogue raisonné for print works of Henri Matisse, and to the digital records. The number of these posters was extremely limited, in our opinion maybe 2 – 5 prints in total, no more. For this reason, it was unknown for a long time and even was not reflected in Matisse’s catalogue raisonné for print works, until February 2023. Highly likely it was created by Mr. Matisse, as a gratitude and as a result of his cooperation with the Federation Francaise des Cine – Clubs.
