Edward Pfizenmaier is an American photographer who was born in 1926. He photographed many luminaries, including Salvador Dalí and George Balanchine, among others. This photo shoot took place at the Paramount Hotel in New York city in 1956. Mr Pfizenmaier worked closely with Sir Cecil Beaton and in this case he photographed Sir Beaton while photographing Mrs Monroe. This is one of the Sepia tone photographs from the full suite, with provenance from the famed Constantiner Collection. The impressive Constantiner Collection, assembled by Leon and Michaela Constantiner, focused on photography that celebrated fashion, style, celebrity and desire. The collection featured the work of highly sought-after artists, including Helmut Newton, Horst P. Horst, Richard Avedon, Cecil Beaton, Irving Penn, Andy Warhol, Robert Mapplethorpe, Edward Pfizenmaier and Bert Stern, among many others. Very fine condition.
