Constant Nieuwenhuis (1920-2005) - Les Visiteurs du Vernissage - 25 litho's

Hereby, I offer a very limited portfolio of collotypes called 'Les Visiteurs Du Vernissage' by Constant Anton Nieuwenhuys (1920-2005). The title translates to 'Visitors of the Opening' in English. The portfolio contains 25 unique lithographs printed on handmade paper in 1987 by Wiet van Rossum in Amsterdam. The cover is from linen material, and is hand signed and dated 31.XII.1987 by Constant himself. This portfolio is numbered 6/30 and is in excellent condition. Anton N. Constant , called "Constant" was born in 1920 in Amsterdam and died in 2005 in Utrecht, Dutch painter and sculptor and educated at the School of Crafts and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Amsterdam. Constant met Asger Jorn and Karel Appel in Paris and, together with several others, they formed the COBRA group in 1948. Like most COBRA artists, he was preoccupied with children's drawings and art which contain a deliberately naive world of motifs of people, animals and mythical creatures. The COBRA group today includes the most recognized modern artists in Europe from Belgium, the Netherlands and Denmark. The portfolio will be sent in a solid cardboard box to ensure maximum protection.
