old gong from bali, taken from a gamelan, the specific sound of Bali, several of these were used in the horizontal instrument called gamelan, and used at temples when ceremonies took place. Beautiful item well preserved and presented on nice custom made stand. diameter aprox 20cm and 12cm deep. Reaches a height on the stand of 37cm. The weight of the gong only is almost 1.2 KG. Love the patina of the old brass and have a close look at the photos so you will see the craftmanship of placing the rivets, also look at the last photo which shows the rust inside to ensure the authenticity of the item....
