2016 Caparzo - Brunello di Montalcino DOCG - 1 McKenzie (5,0 L)

General Description: Tenuta Caparzo, located in the heart of Montalcino, Tuscany, is a wine estate renowned for its Brunello di Montalcino ‘Vigna La Casa’. Established in the late 1960s, the estate blends tradition with innovation under the leadership of Elisabetta Gnudi Angelini since 1998. The vineyards, spread across various hills and varying in soil types, endow the Caparzo wines with their full flavor, aging potential, and character. Tasting Notes: Color: Deep garnet red. Nose: Rich aromas of plum, ripe berries, and flowers, with subtle hints of sandalwood and fresh mushrooms. Taste: Full-bodied with firm, ripe tannines. Flavors of black raspberry, dried violets, and fresh citrus, rounded off with a touch of dusty earth. Aging: Aged for three years in a combination of traditional large Slavonian and French oak barrels, which adds a subtle spiciness to the wine. Scores: J. Suckling: 94/100 Wine Spectator: 96/100 Additional Information: This wine is delivered in the original case and has always been stored in a climate-controlled cabinet, ensuring optimal condition and aging.
