Tetera - Porcelana, Escena de paisaje literario poco común

Teapot Porcelain decorated in underglaze cobalt blue Qing dynasty, Yongzheng period (1723-1735), 2nd quarter of 18th century Height 105 mm; Lenght 150 mm Hexagonal teapot mounted on a short base, with hexagonal section spout and lid surmounted with a small spherical knot. The pot is entirely painted in pale underglaze blue. The three faces on eachside of the body are decorated with a continuous scene with large crags, and a large tree framing a house and a river. On one of the sides the river is narrow and there is a human figure leaning over the waters. On the other where the river is wider there is a small boat with a man fishing with a line. The lid is decorated with continuous scene similar to the body but the fisherman with the line is on the riverbank. The spout and the outer surface of the handle are decorated with stylised plant forms. Pictured in the literature, a portuguese book about teapots. Condition Large line running over body, restored section to rim and small frit/fleebite to spout. Size 10.5CM high and 15CM length Period 18th century Qing (1661 - 1912)
