2002 Meursault ‘Pierres d'Orées’ Micro Cuvée ,Charles De Vallière - Borgoña - 6 Botellas (0,75 L)

2002 Micro Cuvée Meursault ‘Pierres d'Orées’ Charles De Vallière Info Meursault wine : On a vast plain slightly sloping, with a soil of limestone rich in ferruginous, the appellation Meursault does not produce Grands Crus, but very high quality Premiers Crus. Meursault wines are famous throughout the world for their golden color, their intense aromas of honey, lime, hazelnut butter and sometimes chamomile and hawthorn. Their silky and round taste enchants the amateur with a long finish reminiscent of plums and yellow bread spices. Their good freshness gives the wine a good aging potential. ---------------------------------------------------------- Burgundy wines built their reputation throughout the 20th century on two main grape varieties : In white, the Chardonnay grape variety, a true terroir sponge, manages to transcribe with great emotion the clay-limestone terroirs of Burgundy. The soils with a majority of limestone are dedicated to the cultivation of this grape variety which, from the limestone, draws notes of lemon, citrus fruits, stone, which the clay, often present, densifies and comforts in the mouth. Burgundy whites are also marked by styles of vinification: the barrels bringing fat, butter, which is never a note of terroir, and aging in a reducing environment bringing fine toasted notes, which many amateurs often associate, wrongly, with notes of terroir.
