Chateau Dereszla, Tokaji: 1996 Aszú 5 Puttonyos & 1998 x6 Aszú 3 Puttonyos - Tokaj - 7 Jennies (0,5L)

Discover amazing Chateau Dereszla Tokaji vintage 1998 and 1996 3 Puttonyos Azxú Tokay wines are naturally sweet wines from the area around Tokaj in Hungary. These are high quality sweet white wines with an extraordinary capacity for aging "Planted in the year 290 at the initiative of the Roman emperor Probus, the Tokay vineyard has, since its origin, produced rare and delicious sweet wines. Amazed by the precious beverage, Louis XIV proclaimed it “Wine of Kings, King of Wines”. Thus, Tokay wines began to conquer Europe and became the favorite drink of Peter the Great, Frederick II of Prussia, Voltaire, Goethe and Schubert. The essential characteristics of Tokay lie in the fact that the dried grapes are not vinified immediately. The botrytized grains, called aszus grains, are reproduced one by one by successive passages in the vines. Stored separately, they are reincorporated into dry wine made and elaborated earlier in the season. This curious mixture causes a new fermentation. The number of baskets (called puttonyos) of aszus grains added to each barrel determines the degree of concentration and quality of the wine: three, four, five, six puttonyos or finally the richest and most concentrated beverage, aszu eszencia . Characterized by an amber color, Tokay develops intense aromas of raisin, honey and chestnut which are added, on the palate, to a taste of prune, even chocolate." Some labels are just a little bit torned Stored in a cool and dark cellar Ready to drink
