Benjamin Roman - 1 cartulina - The Crytics - The Crytics #1 page 32 Image Comics - 2006

Benjamin Roman The Cryptics #1 Story Page 32 Original Art (Image, 2006). A child version of Mr. Hyde gets attacked by an aggressive Christmas elf in this funny story page. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 11" x 17". Creasing, staining, smudging, and light handling wear. In Very Good condition. One element that bumps up the quality of this comic is the great artwork by Benjamin Roman, who has a style that riffs a little on what guys like Jhonen Vasquez and Roman Dirge have started. His lines are clean, his characters are wonderfully distorted, the action moves along fairly smoothly, and the hilarious facial expressions are priceless. The panels that he illustrates display his cartoonists sensibilities rather than sequential art priorities, which might explain why each panel is so full of detail. Plus, his style doesn't show any realism, making this a unique looking comic that you're sure to enjoy leafing through.
