This votive offering of crewel work and embroidery depicts a Bishop and two other priests surrounding the Turin shroud with a figure of the recumbent Christ painted in red pigment. This is on silk which is dirtied and missing in the figures. The item is glazed and has been paper taped to a thin wooden support. Gold braid is still bright. Colours faded due to exposure to light.
