Renowned for their craftsmanship, these small sculptural pieces served as both ornamental and practical accessories for the obi, enhancing the beauty of the kimono ensemble. The three-piece set includes intricately carved items, each with its unique charm and design. The barrel-shaped piece, smooth and well-formed, lacks a hole, suggesting it may serve purely as a decorative object. The other two pieces, however, feature a central hole for attaching a cord, indicating their use as traditional netsuke. Each piece bears the marks of time, with natural patina, slight scratches, and stains that tell the story of their past use. These signs of wear add to the authenticity and historical value of the netsuke. To appreciate their current condition fully, please examine the photos provided. Dimensions: approx.
