This is an elegant Swedish hand blown vase in amethyst coloured glass, with a large controlled air bubble in the foot.
The vase looks beautiful with no damage and no chips. There are some faint small scratches on the inside from flower stems but these can’t be seen at all from the outside.
The piece is unmarked, but is very similar to those designed by Bo Borgström for Swedish maker Åseda Glasbruk in the 1970’s.
The torpedo shaped body is incredibly tactile, and the heavy clear glass base, which contains the large bubble, is incredibly crisp and looks particularly beautiful in sunlight.
