Mouton Rothschild 2017 has a deep purple-black color
Nose with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberries, cherries, chocolate, violet, spices (star anise, cinnamon, cloves).
Delicate mouth which gains in richness in the mid-palate. The tannins are fine. It offers incredible freshness.
Description of the vintage
The Mouton vineyard was not impacted by frost in 2017.
According to Philippe Dhalluin, the winemaker, the year 2017 was more favorable to Cabernets in Pauillac. In fact, the Merlots suffered more from the drought.

Château Mouton Rothschild covers 84 hectares in the Pauillac appellation.
Winemaking and aging
Manual harvest then traditional vinification, in an oak vat.
Aging is carried out in new oak barrels.
