DETAILS: Vintage Parker 51 MKII-A from 1948 (FP) and 1949 (MP). Beautiful Fountain Pen+Mechanical Pencil set in Buckskin Beije (Tan) polished plastic bodies and Lustraloy caps stainless steel with thin polished lip band. Chrome plated trim and gray mother-of-pearl cap conical jewel. FP is engraved (see detail pictures): Cap lip: PARKER Barrel lip: MADE IN U.S.A. 8 MP is engraved (see detail pictures): Cap lip: PARKER Barrel lip: PARKER "51" - MADE IN USA .9 The fountain pen Aerometric filler instruction engraving includes "Press ribbed bar firmly 6 times and is made of chrome-plated steel. It has a translucent ink sac for ink level view. The f.pen has a chrome plated clutch ring. The pencil has a shiny chrome conical point with gold plated grooves. Fountain pen has a 14K gold nib, very fine tip (seems so). Injector cap actuated extracting mechanism of pencil. Mechanical pencil with several leads 1.0mm and pink eraser, as shown. Mother of pearl conical cap jewels. Short feathered arrow clips (note the clip of pencil is slightly longer! - acceptable at the time). F.pen total length closed (cap on): 136mm. Both pens made in USA. No personal engravings. Supplied with Parker vintage hard case (for up to three pens), brown tissue with silk lining, spring hinge and logos, as shown. All original and authentic. Please consider the pictures as part of the description as they show the exact item that will be purchased. CONDITION: Both pens mint or very close to it overall with insignificant signs of cosmetic use and no flaws. Very shiny and polished all over. Caps satinized finish and polished lips perfectly conserved. Both pens: no hard or obvious scratches, no dings or scuffs to the cap and barrel. No cracks or repairs. Nib seems ok and with plenty iridium on tip. No deformation to cap and barrel. No oxidations. Perfectly straight aligned clips and they adjust firmly to the cap surface. Writing perfectly. Smooth pencil extracting mechanism. Nice MOP jewels, no cracks or yellowing. Perfectly clean. All in perfect working order. Case is perfect outside, but obviously stained/smudged inside silk one side. Closing firmly with spring. Crisp logo. Elastic bands for three pens still flexible and intact.
