Beautiful sword in koshirae and shirasaya signed by the master smith "Minamoto Yorisada" From Edo period the rest of the signature refers to the forging method used, very uncommon and cool signature. the blade is in very good condition with a very nice hamon still vivid with an old japanese polish. The koshirae consists of a classic iron tsuba with a Hanna (flower) open work. The Saya remains in good condition with some old repairs but with almost all Lacquer and the tsuka is made for real samegawa rayskin, kashira made from buffalo black horn and beautiful bronce fuchi with samurai scene. The sword retains a small scar resulting from a parry with another opponent by deflecting his katana. This is not only not considered a problem but is something that most collectors appreciate as it is part of the sword's history and unmistakably demonstrates that it was involved in combat.
