Its favourite prey was the Trilobites, as it was easy to catch, and we see that the Ammonite was very voracious, as three trilobites were found within one, and it was never satisfied. Its shell was filled with air to keep in the same place. It became extinct in the Triassic period, in the extinction event at the end of that period.
