Beautiful, large etching. Plate G from the 11 plates belonging to the Last judgement engraved by G. Ghisi, after Michelangelo frescoes in the Vatican. Curator's comments (Source: British Museum) The plates by Ghisi lettered A-L could be joined up like a jigsaw puzzle to form a large image of the whole Last Judgment, which Michelangelo had completed shortly before the prints were made.
