For sale, fine examples of two of Italian ALESSI's most iconic designs.
The classic Juicy Salif citrus press/juicer was created in 1988 for Alessi by the famed French designer Philippe Starck. It was both a revolutionary design and a beautiful, and decorative object. It is surprisingly functional and is useful in any kitchen, bar or dining room. Juicy Salif has been exhibited in numerous international museums including MOMA in New York, the British Museum in London and the Georges Pompidou Center in Paris.
The juicer is made from moulded aluminium and stands 29 cm high by 12cm in width. It is marked on one leg with the Alessi logo (see photo#12).
It is in excellent, near mint condition with only minor patina.
In addition, the famous Alessi sugar bowl with spoon, design no. 9097, in polished 18/10 stainless steel with light blue thermoplastic resin handles. Ii is in unused mint condition; capacity - 200 m; height - 22.5 cm; width - 22 cm; depth - 22 cm. This bowl is both fun and elegant. Designed for Alessi by Michael Graves, one of the top American designers of the last 50 years, it combines modernism with elements of art deco. The conical shape and lid are based on Graves' classic 1980s kettle.
