Artist: Morimura Yoshine森村宜稲(1871-1938)
Japanese painter and Japan Art Association judge, born in Nagoya on December 26, 1871, as the son of the Confucian scholar Morimura Gimin. At an early age, he entered the school of Unkei Kimura, and later studied Yamato-e under Hakukei Hibino. He has been exhibiting at the Japan Art Association for a long time, and later became a judge for the association, and also exhibited at the Bunten, and was recommended for the Teiten Exhibition in 1933. He mainly inherited the Yamato-e method, and was also a admirer of Sesshu and Tan'yu, and especially in his later years followed the studies of Tanaka Nagon and Ukita Kazunori. And so. In addition to the paintings exhibited at the exhibition, his representative works include the murals at the Seitoku Memorial Art Gallery.
