Very rare, vintage 1960s brooch with ' Vine / grapes ' motif by Henkel & Grossé ( supplier / designer for Christian Dior between 1955 - 2005 ). * In 2006 the Grossé family owners went out of business and the firm became part of the Dior group * - Germany, 1960s - metal: 925 silver, gilded - early makers mark " Crowned G " - size: 3.25 cm (h) x 3 cm (w) x 2.5 cm ( max. depth ) - weight: 27 grams - in excellent condition ( see all photos for better impression as they are part of description ) *** When Grossé started selling jewellery in Dior boutique, the success was great, and Christian Dior highly appreciated the quality of the work and concluded a partnership with Grossé in 1955 under his strong request. Over the next 50 years Grossé was responsible for the production of Christian Dior Bijoux and had the right to sell it and sent out numerous masterpieces to the world. Even in the history of Dior, such a long term license cooperation was unprecedented.
