August Walther & Söhne AG Dresden - Henri Heemskerk - Jarrón - modelo 'Luxor' - vidrio prensado

Designed around 1935 by Walther & Söhne, this beautiful vase in deep amber colored pressed glass is a "must have" for every Art-Deco enthusiast. It has an elegant shape with a beautiful interplay of lines, with a contrasting surface with a mosaic pattern in frosted glass at the bottom. That rarely happens. This particular vase is manufactured for the Belgium public in collaboration with Scailmont Glass and is marked 'Fait en Belgique'. August Walther founded his glassworks in 1888 at Ottendorf-Okrilla near Dresden, and called it August Walther & Sohne AG. They produced a wide range of table ware and ornamental glass, and they are best known for their art deco figurines and designs from the 1930s. Note: Air bubbles and glass threads are normal due to production process. It needs mentioning that after close inspection I noticed two small flee bites on the inside of the vase, out of view. It does not detract from the decorative value, not visible from the outside. Will be packaged carefully and shipped securely.
