Holmegaard - Garrafa - Vidrio

Mouth-blown glass decanter - Holmegaard design. The glass decanter has been synonymous with Holmegaard's glass design since its inception in 1825. The carafe can be closed with a blue glass stopper, which is not the original one. It is called a Chuckling carafe because of the chuckling experience. The bottle has four columns. When the liquid is poured out, air from the columns meets the liquid and makes the gurgling sound. With its four pillars, the bottle is easy to hold and pour from, and there is almost a whole ceremony with the unique sound. Holmegaard has roots going back to 1823, when Count Christian Danneskiold-Samsøe requested permission from the Danish king to establish Holmegaard Glasværk. The Count passed away before the company became a reality, but his widow, Henriette Danneskiold-Samsøe, continued the glassworks.
