Leonard Daniel Philpot (1877-1973) - Still life of a vase of flowers in a vase

I am offering for auction a fine 20th century oil on board of a still life of a vase of flowers, by listed artist Leonard Daniel Philpot, 1877-1973. Signed and dated 1970 bottom right. The painting measures 59 x 49 cm. The frame is 72 x 62 cm. Condition of the paintings is fairly good. Please view all pics for accurate condition. A few very small blemishes. Frame is tired and has wear. Ready to hang. Painter, architect and designer, born in London. Studied architecture at South Kensington Schools and practised in Britain, China and America. Also designed rooms and furniture. Took up painting and exhibited RA, RI, Fine Art Society, Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool and abroad. Galleries in Brighton, Preston and Worthing hold his work. Lived at West Moors, Dorset. Please note. Due to the fragile nature of old frames and glass, our shippers do not provide insurance for any damage caused during transit. We go to great lengths to ensure each painting is packed and protected to a very high standard but sadly cannot compensate or refund for any damage occurring to frames or glass during transit. Therefore the frame and any glass is a gift to you with zero value and you are bidding on the artwork only. Due to Brexit, there are delays at EU customs borders though the situation is improving. Please do not blame me for delays or any customs duty payable. I really appreciate your understanding and patience. Steve. #collectorsboho
